La Escuela de Bochas para Ciegos “Con voluntad todo se puede”, concretó el pasado fin de semana la primera edición de un certamen de carácter Interprovincial denominado Jorge “Gurruma” Martínez, en homenaje al querido vecino de la ciudad fallecido recientemente.
Se apreció la participación de destacados bochófilos de las ciudades de Santa Fe, Buenos Aires, Rosario, Río Ceballos, Paraná, Santo Tomé, San Carlos Centro, Monte Buey y Bell Ville, haciendo un total de 16 varones y 6 mujeres, quienes mostraron sus condiciones en las canchas de los clubes River Plate y Sarmiento.
En este tipo de competencia se utilizan las bochas convencionales, con el jugador no vidente siendo guiado por una persona que indica dónde y a qué distancia se encuentra el bochín. La final, disputada en el estadio José Donato Ghío, se definió 8 a 5 a favor de Oscar Genolet, representante de Sociedad Amigos del Ciego (Santa Fe) y triunfante sobre el bellvillense Gustavo Peralta.
